Steve Burks is a soul, R&B and hip-hop artist originally from Gary (IN) now living in Milwaukee. He joins us to share his own knowledge on the music industry. Steve talks with Allison Emm about his background in the music and the business side of things, as well as the story of how he got to where he is today. The two also talk about recent industry changes, and Steve’s emphasis on the importance of authenticity and staying true to himself as a black musician with predominantly white audiences.
